Volunteer Spotlight
Dan Cassidy is a key community
volunteer whose daily efforts signi昀椀cantly
bene昀椀t Messiah Village.
A retired Certi昀椀ed Public Accountant (CPA) and
member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church,
Dan commutes the short drive from Kimberly Meadows
several times a week to ful昀椀ll his duties as President of
the Messiah Village Auxiliary. His attention to detail
ensures that Auxiliary-led events, like the Furniture
Sale and Clothing Sale, always go off without a hitch.
We are truly thankful for Dan’s devotion
and leadership!
If you’ve spent any time at Messiah Village, you’ve
likely seen Ruth Zook. She’s a tireless volunteer
dedicated to making this campus a better place to live.
Ruth’s contributions are extensive: she volunteers as a
Pathways Institute Host, handles set-up and tear-down
for the Clothing Sales, assists with feeding in Nursing
neighborhoods, and helps out in the Beauty Shops.
An avid member of the Quilt Guild (where she serves as
the representative to the Auxiliary), Ruth also prepares
昀氀ower arrangements for the Gift Shops and works as a
gardener on campus. Even outside Messiah Village, she
volunteers at Hershey Gardens.
We are incredibly thankful for how Ruth, and many other
volunteers, live out our mission of serving others with
Christ-like love!
